Miranda Housden

mirandahouseden   Miranda Housden is an experienced director, influencer and artist.

As the South West director at the Institution of Civil Engineers she is responsible for raising the profile of civil engineering in the South West, maintaining professional standards, running a programme of events and seminars across the region and the leadership and direction of the ICE South West team and members.

Previously she was the London director for the Royal Institute of British Architects, prior to being ICE director responsible for over 20,000 members across ICE London and South East England.

Voluntary posts include being a Foundation Governor at Central Foundation Girls School, Bow, on the Board of Trustees for the Community Land Trust, St Clements, Bow, board member of Campaign for Drawing and a vice chair on the Artists Advisory Board, Chisenhale Arts Place.

She holds a first class BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art from Falmouth University, MA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Arts - University of the Arts London and was a Rome Scholar at the British School at Rome. She has a studio in Chisenhale Arts Place, Bow and has had a number of exhibitions both in the UK and internationally most recently at the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre and Tower Hamlets Cemetery, Bow.
